Are you living with headaches and aren't sure about the cause? If so, ask yourself when you last saw your eye doctor. Uncorrected or undetected vision problems could be the source of your problems.
Eyestrain occurs when the muscles of your eye are required to work harder than usual. This can result in eyes that are tired and achy, and it can cause blurred vision and headaches. Eyestrain that is associated with headaches can be caused by a few different factors, including:
• Astigmatism
• Hyperopia, or farsightedness
• Myopia, or nearsightedness
If you already wear glasses or contacts, you may get headaches if you aren't aware that your eyes have changed. Regardless of the reason, it is important to set up an optometrist appointment for an evaluation.
